How To Remove Dye Off Skin

1. Patience

2. Toothpaste

Toothpaste is not only for removing stains from your teeth but can also be useful in removing hair dye from your skin.

Use a dot of toothpaste on the dyed skin and spread it to cover all the colored area. It is a mild abrasive and can work by scraping the stained skin cells and revealing clean skin underneath. Any toothpaste can be used, but one with baking soda works best since it has larger granules which are better for scraping actions. Rinse with water.

3. Vinegar

Dip a cotton ball in vinegar, and gently rib the dyed skin with this. The vinegar helps to slough of dead skin cells which have absorbed colour, revealing clear skin beneath. Do not use it near the eyes, and rinse thoroughly with water later.

4. Petroleum Jelly

Begin by rubbing petroleum jelly into the stain. Massage it into the skin using your fingertips. Continue massaging until you can see the stains disappearing. You may notice the petroleum jelly turning the color of the dye it is removing, that means it is working. Remove the petroleum jelly with a clean, wet washcloth.

5. Nail Polish Remover

Take a cotton ball and soak it with nail polish remover. Remove excess liquid by gently squeezing the cotton ball between your fingers. If your skin is sensitive, you will want to skip this method. Rub the cotton ball over the affected area several times using a circular motion. Thoroughly rinse the area with cold water to remove any residue.
